Diseases

Sometimes our fish get sick.Here is a list of diseses and how to treat them.

Ick

symptoms: White spots covering body and fins, scratching on objects in the tank.

cure: There are many ick killers out there, I suggest that you try one of those. Ick sure cure works great.

Fin rot

symptoms: Frayed fins, sometimes with white edges.

cure: Maroxy, Ick sure cure, stress zyme seems to work.

Floating disease

symptoms: Fish floats,but is still alive.

cure: Let it be, it will cure itself.

Mirror disease

symptoms: Fish bashes its head against the aquarium glass.

cure: Put a towel or other covering over the glass, this is the only cure.

Fungus

symptoms: Furry white patches cover body.

cure: There are many fungus killers out there, I suggest that you try one of those.Maroxy works great.

Velvet

symptoms: minute, yellow specks cover body.Fish is seen scratching on objects in the tank.

cure: Velvet Be Gone!, Maracide, and Ick Sure Cure.

Constupation

symptoms: Fish produces stringy poop.

cure: Feed vegetable matter.

Anchor Worms

symptoms: Small stringy hairlike things seen anchored onto fish's flesh.

cure: Maracide, and Ick Sure Cure.
